Graduate Career Launch Programme
Online and hybrid career coaching for graduates who want clarity, confidence and a focused job search strategy.
Starting your graduate career can feel overwhelming.
Maybe you’ve already sent off 100s of applications and heard very little back. Maybe you’re about to graduate and don’t know where to begin. Or maybe, as a parent, you can see how hard your son or daughter is trying — but they feel stuck, frustrated or unsure what to do next.
This is one of the toughest graduate markets.
The Graduate Career Launch Programme is designed to help graduates move from uncertainty and despair to a clearer, more confident and strategic approach.
This is not about pushing you towards “any job”. It is about helping you understand what you have to offer, identify realistic career options, strengthen your applications and approach the graduate job market with more structure, confidence and resilience.
Putting you in a much better place to land your 1st graduate position.
The programme is available as a fully online course, or as a hybrid option with online learning plus three hours of one-to-one coaching.
A clearer way to start your graduate career
The graduate job market can feel confusing, competitive and impersonal. It is easy to spend hours applying for roles without really knowing whether you are the right fit, what employers are looking for, or how to explain your experience clearly. This gets even tougher when you don’t hear back from employers.
The Graduate Career Launch Programme gives you a step-by-step structure to follow.
Across the programme, you will work through short videos, downloadable exercises and practical resources designed to help you:
Understand how the graduate job market actually works
Build clarity around your strengths, values and career direction
Identify roles and sectors that feel realistic and aligned
Improve your CV and personal brand
Create a more focused job search routine
Write stronger applications
Prepare for interviews with more confidence
Stay motivated and resilient when the process feels tough
-
This programme is for graduates and final-year students who want support with the transition from university into work.
It may be right for you if:
You are applying for graduate jobs but not getting interviews
You feel unsure what kinds of roles would suit you
You are overwhelmed by the number of options and don’t know where to focus
You are worried your experience is not “enough”
You find it hard to explain your strengths, skills and motivations
You are struggling to get through the 1st sift or the video interviews
You are graduating soon and feel daunted by the job search ahead
You want to apply more strategically, rather than sending off lots of rushed applications
You would value a calm, structured and realistic approach to getting started
-
The full Graduate Career Launch Programme will take you through each stage of the graduate job search, from direction and confidence through to applications and interviews.
Each module includes short, focused videos and downloadable resources to help you apply the learning to your own situation.
Module 1: Direction, Mindset & the Graduate Market
Understand how the graduate job market works, why “any job will do” can backfire, and how to start building clarity around your values, strengths and motivations.
You will begin to create a clearer picture of what matters to you and what kind of work might suit you.
Module 2: Career Direction & Role Targeting
Move from vague ideas to more focused career options.
You will learn how to research roles and industries, understand what job descriptions are really asking for, compare options and build a more targeted job search list.
Module 3: CVs & Personal Branding
Create a clearer, more tailored CV that communicates your skills and experience effectively.
You will learn what recruiters look for, how to structure your CV, how to write stronger bullet points, and how to translate academic, part-time, voluntary or extracurricular experience into evidence employers can understand.
Module 4: Applications & Job Search Strategy
Apply with more focus and less overwhelm.
You will build a weekly job search routine, learn how to approach application questions, understand the difference between quality and quantity, and track what is working so you can improve your approach over time.
Module 5: Interviews & Offer Conversion
Prepare for interviews with more confidence and structure.
You will learn what interviewers are assessing, how to build strong answers, how to prepare for the assessment centre, common graduate interview questions, and how to reflect and improve after each interview.
-
Many graduates are told to “just keep applying”, but that can quickly lead to exhaustion and self-doubt.
The Graduate Career Launch Programme helps you pause, reflect and build a stronger strategy.
You will not be asked to invent a perfect five-year plan. Instead, you will be guided through practical steps that help you understand yourself, explore realistic options and take more focused action.
The programme brings together career coaching, practical job search tools and supportive guidance, so you are not left trying to work everything out alone.
The aim is to give you the tools, confidence and structure to take ownership of your next steps and to take regular, consistent action.

Everyone works at a different pace.
Allowing for one module per week will help you keep moving forward and build momentum, while still giving you enough space for action and reflection between the modules.
Most people will be able to complete the online elements in around six weeks.

Yes. The programme is suitable if you want to get ahead and start working on your career plans now, especially if you are going into your final year.
You do not need to wait until you have graduated to start building clarity, confidence and a stronger job search strategy.
-
Yes, absolutely.
If you are struggling to get interviews, feeling stuck in a job that is not progressing, or trying to move into a graduate-level role, this programme can help you take a more focused and strategic approach.
-
No. You do not need to have a clear career plan before starting the programme.
The first modules are designed to help you explore your values, strengths, motivations and possible career directions. The aim is to help you build clarity gradually, rather than expecting you to have all the answers from the beginning.
-
No. Graduate schemes are only one route into work.
This programme is designed to support you with a wider graduate job search, including entry-level roles, direct-entry graduate jobs, internships, smaller employers and other early-career opportunities.
-
Many graduates worry that they do not have enough experience.
The programme will help you look more carefully at the experience you do have, including your degree, part-time work, volunteering, societies, projects, internships, caring responsibilities or other activities.
You will learn how to identify transferable skills and communicate your experience more clearly to employers.
-
The programme is designed for the graduate or student to work through directly.
Parents are welcome to support the process, but the most important thing is that the graduate has the space to reflect honestly and take ownership of their own career decisions.
-
That is completely fine.
The suggested pace of one module per week is there to help you build momentum, but you can return to the materials and work through them at a pace that suits your circumstances.
The key is to keep taking small, practical steps rather than feeling you have to complete everything perfectly.
